More than 100 people participate in a training day for authorities, managers and heads

The activity is part of the informative actions within the framework of the continuous improvement processes implemented by the institution to develop its management.

A significant number of authorities, managers and heads, responsible for different units and macro-units of the University of La Serena, participated in the training convened by the Academic Vice-Rector's Office and the Vice-Rector's Office for Economic and Administrative Affairs, in the month of September, and whose purpose was to disseminate the scope of Opinion No. 85.700 of the Comptroller General of the Republic.

leadership training2The training, which was led by lawyers Elizabeth Escobar and Julio Landaeta, focused on the task of informing about the current requirements regarding hiring emanating from the most recent provisions of the Comptroller agency.

The activity was headed by the Rector of the University of La Serena, Dr. Nibaldo Avilés, who highlighted, first of all, that “we must know about the greatest demands made on us as a University, as we are considered a public service, and As a result, we are subject to periodic audits and controls by the Comptroller's Office and other supervisory bodies."

On the occasion, Rector Avilés added that “it is extremely important to understand the details of these new provisions for the proper functioning of the institution and avoid sanctions.”
