Pedagogy program in History and Geography says goodbye to its new graduates with a special breakfast

The meeting was held in the Central Casino of the school and was attended by the new professionals, the School Director, teachers, Graduate Monitoring Office, administrators and representatives of the PMI in Initial Teacher Training FIP ULS1501.

An emotional breakfast, organized by the Directorate of the Pedagogy in History and Geography career, was the culminating moment of a stage overcome by the former students of said career, and which sought to bring them together before presenting them, through an official ceremony, with their qualification of teachers and Bachelors in Education.

breakfast histogeo2On the occasion, where 15 graduates attended, the Director of the School, Mg. Sandra Álvarez thanked the presence of those who participated and was emphatic in saying that “this is the first time we are doing something like this, we wanted to start with a tradition that will help us form ties beyond professional training and the way to do it is by recognizing their efforts and providing tools that they will be able to put into practice in their work performance in the future. We want them to feel supported and be certain that our School will always have its doors open to welcome them,” said Álvarez.

In addition to the graduates, the Graduate Monitoring Office, teachers, PMI in Initial Teacher Training FIP ULS1501 and two first-year students of the degree participated in the breakfast, who bid farewell to their colleagues who were graduating.

During the speeches, a former student said he was “grateful for the School where we trained (…), we thank those who were able to be with us in this final stage. This has not been easy and we know that what lies ahead will be more difficult, but we are certain that this is what we want to do, face the real world and learn what many told us in our initial training classes," he stated. .

It should be noted that the Graduate Monitoring Office provided support during this process and the unit's professionals shared with the alumni, as well as informing them about the work of the unit and how they can activate contact networks for their early job placement.
