The course is aimed at civil engineers dedicated to the development of structural projects of all kinds, structural calculation reviewers, university professors, civil engineering students, interested in knowing the update of the mandatory Chilean Standard.

The Faculty of Engineering of the ULS is sponsoring the course called "Requirements for structural calculation according to mandatory standard NCH427/1: 2016", which will be carried out by the Chilean Steel Institute (ICHA) in La Serena, with the support of AICE and the College of Engineers of Chile AG

Finally, forty years after its last revision, Chilean engineering has an updated version of the Chilean standard that establishes the requirements for the specifications and calculation of steel structures, called NCh427/1:2016, updated to the AISC provisions. 2010. A collaborative work led by ICHA for four years, and subsequently reviewed in public consultation and approved by the INN in November 2016.

The course is aimed at civil engineers dedicated to the development of all kinds of structural projects, structural calculation reviewers, university professors, civil engineering students, interested in knowing the update of the mandatory Chilean Standard, which establishes the design requirements and structural calculation for buildings with steel structures.

The classes will be in charge of Eduardo Núñez, civil engineer, PhD, professor of the Department of Structures of the University of Chile and member of the ICHA technical committee, and will take place on Monday 20 (15:00 to 18:30). and Tuesday, August 21 (09:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m.) in the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works (Cirujano Videla 200).
