The sessions will be held in the Amphitheater of the Isabel Bongard Campus and will have the cooperation of the Department of Extracurricular Activities, dependent on the General Directorate of Student Affairs, and the Graduate Monitoring Office.

In order to provide new tools and techniques of body expression, and taking advantage of the fact that the Month of the Homeland is approaching, the Graduate Monitoring Office, together with the General Directorate of Student Affairs, will hold cueca classes for students, graduates and graduates. from ULS who are interested in learning.

During the classes, students will be able to participate and learn the basic techniques of the national dance, as well as perfect those they already have.

The cueca is recognized throughout the national territory, and although its choreography varies depending on its geographical area, it retains its common pattern that makes it a unique and differentiated dance. It is for this reason that the course will focus on the general idea, investigating traditions and providing techniques to be able to dance it in a playful, respectful and free way in any room or inn.

The instructor in charge of the workshop will be Mauricio Cortés, who with his advanced career in folklore, will provide the basic notions to face this type of dance, which for some time now has and enjoys fame and variety of styles, all accepted to enjoy. of the national holidays of Chile.
