The activity was attended by students and academics from the Journalism major.

Another of the activities of the Journalism Career Week was the talk “Travel journalism and the dissemination of cultures and the arts”, by journalists and former students Fernanda Zepeda and Tannya Barra, where they presented their venture “ Nomad Passport”, which recounts, through audiovisual and written means, their experiences in the different countries they have traveled, with the aim of showing reality so that everyone can experience it in first person.

The activity, which took place in the TV Studio and was attended by students and academics of the course, began by announcing the motto “Stories help us continue traveling,” motivating the students to dare to do this type of journalism, that it is possible to travel without many resources and that the main thing is to generate contacts. However, they said how difficult it can be to find this type of publications in the regional media, since they prefer to give coverage to the contingency events that happen every day.

On the occasion, they highlighted the support of Diario El Día, which published their first works and thanks to contacts with journalists from other countries they have been able to reach more people.

During the exhibition, they talked about the possibilities for women to undertake this type of journalism and to be able to travel alone and safely. In this regard, the exhibitors assured that it is possible since they were always well informed about the places they visited and that the people they met along the way helped them a lot. Their recommendation for those interested was to be well informed about the country or city they will visit and to be able to relate optimally with the people around them.

“The secret of everything in this life is passion” were the words of Fernanda Zepeda, creative director of 'Pasaporte Nómada' when referring to the impulse that led her to create this project. And as advice to the students of the program, the journalist indicated: "believe in them, believe in their dreams if your body, your soul and your mind are in tune, the heart cannot say no."
