Subcommittee on Linkage with the Environment advances tasks for first plenary session

Like every Thursday, in the premises of the Ignacio Domeyko Campus, the Linkage with the Environment subcommittee worked on the details to present the first task of the self-evaluation process in plenary session on June 19.

With an average attendance of 26 people, the subcommittee has worked on the analysis of key informants relevant to this matter. Focused on a participatory, objective and realistic process, the dialogue between attendees made it possible to contribute to the identification of the main informants and the opportunities that can be opened thanks to this instance.

sub vm2“I find it important, relevant and very hopeful, because it has allowed us to get to know each other and recognize ourselves in the task that the University is doing, as relevant actors in this process, since as members of the institution, because we are the ones who make it up and do it.” "We have the purpose of looking at how the University is linked to citizens," said Desiree López de Maturana, professor at the Faculty of Humanities.

Likewise, Francisco López, Coordinator of the Pedagogy degree in Biology and Natural Sciences, emphasized that “it is tremendously important to meet in a systematic and organized manner as a long-term work plan since we have established a way of doing things that will "contribute to this accreditation process, which has also allowed us to learn in greater detail about the initiatives we carry out, which are many and quite well aligned, which will serve to establish interactions between the different instances of links with the environment."

subvm 3The plenary session set for this Wednesday, June 19, will allow us to know the progress of each of the subcommittees regarding this process, which will allow us to carry out a work plan, promoting interaction and dialogue between attendees.

Each of these sessions has meant a commitment on the part of the attendees, which encourages raising the opinion of the university community based on objective and verifiable elements, which lead to collaborative work and which represent all institutional levels. This is how María Elena Munizaga, Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Sciences, expressed it: “it is relevant because we also know everything that the University itself does, since not all of us know what each of the units of the University does. Thanks to this process I feel inserted in this group and in the institution, with a great sense of belonging because I also like the subject and because I have always worked on it."
