In less than 4 business days, the community of ULS academics managed to reach the minimum goal of responses that the institution had set for itself for this group, as part of the internal motivation process to participate in this Self-Assessment process.

This Monday, September 02, at noon, the ULS Institutional Self-Assessment process had reasons to celebrate: 30% of the total number of academics accepted the invitation to participate in the Key Informant Consultation, through the online survey, the first and most massive of the instruments with which the ULS will raise perceptions about its institutional progress.

The 30% barrier was estimated as an indicator of success by the Executive Self-Evaluation Committee, once the comparative review of similar experiences in universities with recent renewal of accreditation had been made, for 4 or more years. “In light of this first achievement and the response behavior that we observed from other university entities, we can say that the institutional commitment to make this Self-Assessment process an instance of participation has been valued by the community. Participation has been at the heart of the process, from its design and implementation, until now that we are in the mass consultation phase, administering surveys, focus groups and interviews,” commented Mg. Carola Espinoza Orellana, member of the Executive Committee and director of Strategic Communication of the University.

The survey is 100% online and confidential, and was distributed to all academic and non-academic officials on Wednesday, August 28, with a reminder on Friday, August 30, the day the call was also sent to students. postgraduate, master's and doctoral degrees.

The scheduling of the call to answer the survey also considered the invitation, this Monday, September 2, to graduates/graduates and postgraduates, from the last 5 years; while today, Tuesday, September 3, the call for undergraduate students continues, whose participation will be encouraged with information meetings and recreational interventions on various university campuses. The latter will be held from September 3 to 13 during the intermissions of class modules and will consider music and artistic and sports presentations.

Finally, also today, September 3, contact begins with territorial agents and employers, explaining the process and requesting their collaboration in this important institutional process.
