Generating a practical theoretical explanation and the implications of the challenges for the improvement of the Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) was the central objective of the three-state discussion, organized by the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences of the University of La Serena.

Academic and non-academic officials and students participated in the CETECFI Conference Room in a discussion chaired by the law academic, Germán Solís Godoy, and the former Dean of the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences, Mg. Jorge Fernández Labra.

Likewise, he referred through concrete examples to the deficiencies that the system has, reasons for which he has been questioned for several years and now with greater impetus since the social outbreak of the country.

Then, the former Dean of the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences addressed the economic sphere that governs the AFP system and the implications of modifications and improvements.

Likewise, the former Dean thanked and valued the deep connection he has with the University of La Serena, and stressed the importance of instances that allow dialogue and the deepening of cross-cutting issues. “It is very important because to the extent that people are informed about an issue, they believe less in magical solutions for all issues. So if we delve into a topic, like this case of the AFP, it is necessary to know the details of the real functioning of the system, since, as is the case with health, there are many items that can be solved with better management," he stated. .
