University of La Serena will hold the first “Meeting of PACE Macro Northern Zone Programs”

It is the first meeting of PACE programs that will be held remotely and will have the presence of Higher Education Institutions (IES) from the northern part of the country, attached to the government measure.

The Accompaniment and Access to Higher Education Program (PACE) of the University of La Serena will hold the first “PACE Macro North Zone Program Work Meeting”, which will take place remotely due to the contingency produced by COVID-19. XNUMX in the country.

The central objective of this meeting is to establish and share collaborative work strategies between the different PACE coordination teams in the country and, especially, in the northern zone. In addition, it seeks to formalize agreements to establish a PACE work network in the northern part of the country.

In this regard, the Executive Director of the APRENDE ULS and PACE ULS Programs, Mg. Viviana Romero Elgueda stated: “This initiative arises from the executive coordination of the PACE Programs of the northern Macro zone and as the University of La Serena, we have supported the organization for this virtual activity, which will allow us to meet and link our coordination teams. of higher education and secondary education, promoting collaborative work and knowing the strategies that each institution is carrying out as a result of the health emergency. We believe it is a great challenge, given that it will allow us to formalize a network of PACE teams from institutions in the Northern Macro Zone.”

Jointly, in this instance we seek to share strategies for working with higher and secondary education students, in the current context associated with the health emergency produced by Covid-19 in the national territory; as well as analyze successful accompaniment experiences and articulate actions associated with the operational management of the PACE Program, to strengthen ties between the teams of the different higher education schools participating in the meeting.

In the activity they will present the coordination of the PACE programs corresponding to the following Higher Education Institutions: Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN), CEDUC-UCN, Universidad de Tarapacá (UTA), Universidad Arturo Prat (UNAP), Universidad de Antofagasta (UA ) and University of Atacama (UDA).
