ULS develops pedagogical videos that support the teaching of girls and boys during quarantine

The initiative takes reference from the Curriculum Bases of Early Childhood Education and Basic Education.

There are 10 videos focused on playful, dynamic and practical exercises that allow boys and girls to learn through play while they remain at home during the COVID-19 health crisis, and that are part of the #ULSEducaEnCasa campaign, developed by the Dissemination Office and Diffusion of Science and Technology, ODDCyT, and the Strategic Communication Directorate of the University of La Serena.

The Director of Research and Development, Dr. Sergio Torres Flores, emphasized that “learning through play is an enriching experience, as it allows us to connect entertainment with learning, even in areas that seem distant to children, such as science. ".

In that sense, Mg. M° Alejandra Leyton, Coordinator of the ODDCyT, explained that the purpose of the campaign is "to provide help for mothers, fathers and/or guardians to support their boys and girls during the COVID-19 quarantine, in the development of skills per curricular section".

This material is aimed at mothers, fathers and/or guardians in charge of children between 2 and 11 years old, who are in nursery school and basic education.

For the generation of activities, the Curricular Bases of Early Childhood Education and Basic Education are considered as a reference, central references for installing quality educational processes.
