In order to provide students and their families with a new alternative to financing the 2020 fee, the University of La Serena resolved to provide funds that partially or totally cover the semester or annual fee.

The alternative will be effective from today and throughout the academic year, in a major institutional effort to contribute to coping with the socio-economic difficulties derived from the current context of pandemic.

El Internal Financing of the ULS Tariff It is aimed at all students who have lost tuition benefits, who do not have benefits or applied for them by 2020 via FUAS and who have changed their current socioeconomic situation, and also for those who need to cover differences that occur between your benefit coverage and your actual career rate.

The financing consists of the delivery of the University Credit Solidarity Fund up to 100% coverage of the semester or annual fee of the degree for the current year.

The steps to carry out the application process are as follows:

  1. Login to Phoenix ULS platform
  2. Download application for Internal Financing of Tariff, print and sign document
  3. Send scanned application by email to your Career Social Worker. If required, the Social Worker will request supporting socioeconomic documentation to evaluate the request.

Once the application is completed by the student, the university will load the credit on the financial platform. In cases where financing is requested for both semesters, the credit will be charged in the 2nd semester once the student is a regular student.

At the end of the year, the student must sign a promissory note for this credit., in the terms and forms that the institution informs, being the signing of this document the last stage of the process of allocation of the benefit for the total or partial coverage of the tariff of the current year.
