Academic from the Department of Legal Sciences joins the Administrative Law Association of Chile as a member

Academic Elizabeth Escobar Toro, from the Department of Legal Sciences of the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences of the University of La Serena, has been officially incorporated on June 08 as a member of the Administrative Law Association of Chile.

The Administrative Law Association of Chile (ADAD) aims to contribute to the creation of instances for reflection and debate in the area of ​​Administrative Law, facilitating the exchange of ideas and experiences among practitioners of the discipline.

In this way, on June 08, via email confirmation, academic Elizabeth Escobar Toro, from the Department of Legal Sciences of the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences of the University of La Serena, who is also a Legal Advisor, member of the Ethics Committee and the Harassment Prevention Office of the university, he became an official member of this entity in favor of promoting the cultivation of Administrative Law among professors, lawyers, judges and law students.

The Director of the Law degree, Mg. Carlos Magna comments on the importance and relevance of this incorporation and the enhancement it provides to the race. “We are very happy about the acceptance, as an associate, of our academic from the Department of Legal Sciences, Elizabeth Escobar Toro, to the Administrative Law Association of Chile. We as a state university, with a clear regional and public vocation, must encourage all academic activities that enhance the comprehensive training of our students, which is greatly facilitated with this incorporation."

Likewise, academic Elizabeth Escobar appreciates this recognition and opportunity, indicating that “this membership flatters me in personal and professional terms. It is a new challenge for me, as I will have to participate in this important national legal body, contributing to the debate on issues specific to higher education, which I will try to do in the best possible way on behalf of our University of La Serena."

In accordance with the above, the academic valued the support of the university authorities in achieving this objective. “I especially thank the Rector Nibaldo Avilés and the Dean of the FACSEJ, the Faculty to which I am affiliated, for their constant support and to all the members of the university community who have sent me their sincere congratulations. "I thank my family and of course God for his infinite goodness," she stated.

Instance that allows us to continue with the positioning, linking and generation of instances in favor of promoting the different opportunities for interconnection of academics and students of the House of Studies.
