APRENDE Program ULS participates in the National Meeting of Support Centers for Higher Education Students “Red CAES”

The Executive Director of the Support Program for Student Permanence, Performance, Leveling and Comprehensive Development (APRENDE), represented the house of higher education in a meeting on support in tertiary education, which included international guests.

The APRENDE ULS Program of the Academic Vice-Rector's Office of the University of La Serena, participated with a presentation dedicated to the initial leveling process remotely, in the Meeting of the Support Center for Higher Education students, "Red CAES", in conjunction with other university campuses in the country and abroad.

The event organized by the University of Chile, the University of Atacama, the University of Los Lagos, the Bernardo O'Higgins University and the Adventist University of Chile, the latter being the host of this version, which was titled: “Experiences in the implementation of non-face-to-face methodologies for support and accompaniment to higher education students.” Its objective was to collaboratively exchange experiences of non-face-to-face methodological innovation, implemented in the current scenario by the Academic Support Centers, to promote the learning of higher education students.

Another purpose of the meeting was to promote the exchange of methodologies and replicable systems that have a favorable impact on the processes of support and accompaniment to students. The Executive Director of the APRENDE ULS Program, Mg. Viviana Romero was the one who represented the Institution with the presentation “Accompaniment in higher education in the context of a pandemic: Initial leveling”, who referred to her participation in the instance. “Participating as the University of La Serena in this meeting has allowed us to learn about other experiences at a national and international level, but also to present all the efforts made by the institution to carry out our first massive initial leveling experience remotely. “We have established work networks to be able to enhance the support processes for our students”

This online version of the “Red CAES” meeting had more than 70 guests and the participation of Latin American university campuses such as: Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina.
