APRENDE ULS launches newsletter on beneficiary students 2020

The publication contains data on the work of the different areas of the project awarded by the house of higher education, with more than 3.000 students benefiting from the Support Program for Student Permanence, Performance, Leveling and Comprehensive Development (APRENDE ULS), of the Academic Vice-Rector's Office published the first version of its newsletter, with the aim of informing about its work within the institution. The document consists of

 

e specific and significant data from the Academic, Psychoeducational and Monitoring and Follow-up areas belonging to the program; with the aim of showing the university community the benefits of the program for the students. In this regard, the Executive Director of APRENDE ULS and PACE, Mg. Viviana Romero pointed out: “For our APRENDE ULS Program, it is relevant to reinforce our areas of action with the entire university community, especially for them to know the progress of the program almost 2 years since its implementation and the valuable testimonies of students who are users of the program. . We hope to move forward and invite more students to be part of the program and invite them to seek academic and guidance support, emotional support or support for the development of an autonomous learner. To achieve these purposes, we have strengthened the systematization of the program's activities in this monthly newsletter, where the areas, actions and testimonies can be found." The content of this first version is a compendium of figures and testimonies that are linked to the actions carried out by the different lines of work of APRENDE ULS, such as the number of 2020 Tutors, who are supporting the students of the university in this period; and the number of students who have benefited through the different actions of the program. In addition to some testimonies from tutors and of course from beneficiaries of the accompaniment and support provided by the project. In relation to this, the Monitoring and Follow-up Coordinator APRENDE ULS, Dr. Marcela Altamirano, explained: “APRENDE ULS has accompanied more than 3.000 students from our University during its almost two years of operation. So far in 2020, more than 2.000 students have already benefited, through the various actions that the program carries out. Furthermore, in this Bulletin we have found it very important to incorporate testimonies from the students, to make their experiences known. In the next newsletters we hope to report on the impact of the program, according to the indicated commitments and thus keep our community informed about it."
