ULS Mining Engineering will celebrate the anniversary of the former La Serena School of Mines

On the occasion, the traditional bell ceremony will be held to commemorate this CXXXIII anniversary, through the zoom platform, on August 26.

The Department of Mining Engineering of the University of La Serena will carry out the traditional bell ceremony, with the objective of commemorating the 133 years of the former School of Mines of La Serena, an institution founded on August 26, 1887 and which sought continue the legacy of Ignacio Domeyko on the teaching of mining in the region and the country.

In addition, the talks “Mining 4.0” will be held by the Exploration and New Business Manager of Compañía Minera San Gerónimo, Eng. José Díaz Ramos, and “The Magic of Sales” by the Sales and Services Manager and the Manager. of HCA Minería Spa Operations, Eng. Iván Abulias and Eng. Pedro Honorato.

The activity will take place on Wednesday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. and will be carried out online through the zoom platform, due to the current pandemic context in which the country finds itself.
