AES PACE ULS Team presents the language workshops available for students of the 2019 – 2020 cohorts

The workshops are available to students of the program, through the Moodle APRENDE ULS platform.

The Accompaniment in Higher Education (AES) component of the program dependent on the Vice-Rector's Office of the University of La Serena, announced the schedule of workshops in the language area to the students of the 2019 and 2020 cohorts of the Casa de Higher education.

Mg María Alejandra Rivera, AES PACE ULS Language Mentor, was in charge of presenting the seven modules, created for the students of the accompaniment measure and specified: “the Language area of ​​the program has worked in an articulated manner with the APRENDE Program to disseminate the resources generated by the latter, available on the Moodle platform APRENDE ULS. It houses various modules to promote students' strengthening of skills in the three fundamental axes of Communication: Reading, Writing and Orality."

In this context, the modules are part of the process of Development of Basic Competencies and Skills for the 7st Century of the APRENDE ULS program, which are aimed at first and second year students of the university campus and are divided into seven: Reading Effectiveness of Scientific and Academic texts, Recover information from an Academic Reading, APA Standard XNUMXth Edition for beginners, Update your Academic Writing Skills, Print Style to your Academic Writings, Public Speaking in Academic contexts, Style Correction in Scientific text.

For her part, Mg. Ma Alejandra Rivera, expressed: “it is of great relevance that students develop in the best way the basic competencies of each of the areas presented, to maintain adequate performance in all disciplines of knowledge, since they are present transversally. in the requirements of each subject, regardless of the career in which you are studying, for this reason we invite you to enter the Moodle APRENDE ULS, there you will find many answers to your doubts not only in the area of ​​language, but also in mathematics and learning. autonomous".
