In the Campus Enrique Molina Garmendia of the University of La Serena, the talk "Tax Reform" was organized, organized by the management of the School of Auditing, in conjunction with the Student Center of the Career (CEC).

The activity, aimed at students of all levels, sought to contribute to the national debate on such an important topic and that has generated reactions in the different strata of society.

Patricia Cortés, said that "our School has proposed to train professionals who are able to manage the tax burden of organizations, to respond to the demands of auditing entities, both nationally and internationally. To achieve this characteristic, it is essential to correctly apply the current tax legislation, and considering that one of the most important reforms is being carried out, we thought it opportune and very beneficial to deepen this topic and contribute to the professional training of the public accountant auditor ".

On the other hand, the exhibitor, Mg. Alberto Hernández, an academic from the Department of Economic and Business Sciences ULS, said that this activity allows young people to share the most important points of the project that is in the Senate. "In the first place, an introduction was developed regarding how the tax system is today and, later, an analysis of the main changes that could occur if the reform is approved with the observations that have been raised. It is interesting to know some critical points that will probably be quite discussed and there may be changes, mainly in how the allocation of income is going to be applied, "he said.

The occasion also allowed to announce the new Student Center (CEC) of the Audit Course, which is led by student Yuma Ramírez and 8 representatives more than the different levels of the career: Diego Jaime, Deyanira Véliz, Ángel Alvarado , Andrea Pellegrini, Omar Galleguillos, John Zepeda, Rodrigo Contreras and César Vega.
