The board, along with discussing points related to the activities that will come in the coming months, held an interview with the Rector of the Arturo Prat University, Gustavo Soto Bringas.

Radio Universitaria FM, represented by its technical coordinator, Hugo Millar, was present on August 13 and 14 at a new session of the Board of Directors of the Network of University Broadcasters of Chile (REUCH) of which it is a part. On this occasion, the meeting was held at the Astoreca Palace of the Arturo Prat University, in the city of Iquique.

In addition to discussing the various points related to the activities that will come in the coming months, the REUCH Board of Directors held an interview with the Rector of the Arturo Prat University, Gustavo Soto Bringas, to whom the work carried out by this Network was detailed and the upcoming commitments that the organization has at the national and international level.

"For some time now, the University Radio Stations Network, which brings together all the radio stations of the universities that belong to the Council of Rectors, has been looking for a way to obtain the support of the highest authorities of each of the universities that have such an important means of communication, as is its own radio station," said Hugo Millar, adding that this seeks, to some extent, "to formalize the actions of this Network that only aims to publicize all the academic, cultural and research activity of each of our houses of higher education and promote the exchange of technical and programmatic knowledge, new applied technologies and the renewal in the ways of doing radio, with other networks of Latin American university stations, as well as other associated international radio stations.

Finally, he commented that the meeting with the Rector of UNAP is the beginning of others that will be replicated in other universities in the country, "in order to achieve this, to arrange a visit in one of the next sessions of the Council of Rectors."
