Within the framework of Userena Creativa, Festival of Innovation, Creativity and Cultural Participation, the exhibition of robots and exhibition of prototypes made in FabLab FIULS was held.

Marcelo Vásquez, who is part of the Prototyping Laboratory team, commented that "the objective of the FabLab is to generate quick and cheap prototypes, guiding students and offering workshops, and in Userena Creativa it shows the capabilities of the FabLab and, above all , the creativity of the students".

The FabLab, although it depends on the Faculty of Engineering, receives students from different careers and disciplines. Regarding this, Marcelo Vásquez explained that "this work of innovation requires multidisciplinary, which is why we work with students from many majors."

He also maintained that "the value of showing the prototypes designed in FabLab is enormous, above all, to learn about the development and to show the potential that students have in terms of innovation and the fundamental support of the University of La Serena to realize the Projects".
