Cycle of workshops "Preparation of Administrative Acts/Macrounits, another step towards Quality" continues

The macrounits of the University of La Serena participated in the workshop “Preparation of Administrative Acts/Macrounits, another step towards Quality”, aimed at authorities, as well as officials who carry out administrative acts, so that they know and implement the new formats and standards institutional.

The workshops are organized collaboratively between the General Secretariat and the Comprehensive Quality Management Office, attached to the Directorate of Strategic Development and Quality of the University of La Serena, and their objective is to disseminate the tools and new standards related to the preparation of administrative acts within the framework of the implementation of the Comprehensive Quality Management System and its approach to processes.

In the first instance, an informative workshop was held through the Zoom platform, in which the Academic Vice-Rector, Dr. Alejandra Torrejón, participated; the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nibaldo Avilés; the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Cristián Noemi, the Secretary General, Dr. Lorgio Aguilera; the Director of Strategic Communication (DirCom), Andrea Fuentes, the Director of the Information and Computing Center (CICULS), Mg. Andrés Moya, among other university authorities.

The second call included officials from the different Vice-Chancellors, Faculties and also from the General Directorate of Student Affairs, and was held in the Alejandro Covarrubias Room on the Andrés Bello Campus of the ULS.

On this occasion, attendees were able to familiarize themselves with the new formats and standards for the preparation of Administrative Acts. During the first part of the workshop, Hilda Silva, assistant professional of the General Secretariat, shared the guidelines and formats for the correct preparation of the documents, and later practical exercises were carried out during which the doubts of the participants were clarified.

Perceptions

Ricardo Orrego, executive director of the FIULS 2030 Project of the ULS Faculty of Engineering, pointed out that “this type of workshops framed in institutional quality management, constitute an important opportunity for officials to be part of the processes of quality management that the university has, we all seek to have the best standards in various aspects and this workshop on the preparation of administrative acts achieves it. It is a great opportunity for us, so we feel part of the processes and part of the institution.”

On the other hand, Aileen Castillo, support professional from the Vice-Rector's Office for Research and Postgraduate Studies, commented that “this instance is very beneficial to us as professionals supporting macro-units, because through these workshops we are already standardizing with concepts that such Sometimes we did it automatically without having more knowledge. Knowing these processes guides us to do the job well and through continuous improvements in the processes to be able to contribute to the university.”

This was the last workshop on administrative acts of the year 2023. For next year, the scheduling of new workshops associated with the implementation of the Comprehensive Quality Management System is expected.
