The orientation and support services that were provided in the instance were score review, application simulation, scholarships and benefits, vocational guidance, and PACE quota entry requirements.

For the eighth consecutive year, PACE is part of the process of supporting the 2023 application of the University of La Serena, seeking to guide young people who took the Higher Education Access Test (PAES), being present in seven communes of the Coquimbo Region.

The application support process is carried out as part of the implementation of PACE ULS, being a commitment of the Operational Plan of the government measure with the students of the establishments assigned to PACE ULS, as a priority, and also including students who carry out application through the regular route.

The purpose of the team's deployment throughout the region is to effectively accompany the application process for higher education, through advice regarding the vocational area, scholarships, benefits and any questions about the application process. In this regard, Mg. Jovanna González, coordinator of Preparation in Secondary Education (PEM) PACE ULS, expressed: “as a fundamental part of our work as a program, we have once again deployed the entire program team throughout the region, with the objective that our students and their families can resolve their doubts from the first source. I also want to thank the Student Welfare Department team for supporting us like every year, accompanying us this time in seven communes divided into the three provinces.”

The seven communes in which the team worked throughout the days of the 2024 higher education application process were La Serena, Ovalle, Punitaqui, Combarbalá, Andacollo, Salamanca and Los Vilos, attending in person to more than 219 students, as well as remotely and by telephone more than 170 students contacted. Thus, 64% of effective applications were achieved from PACE-enabled students in this 2024 admission process.
