General Treasury of the Republic signs for the first time a collaboration agreement with a State university

The Rector of the University of La Serena and the General Treasurer of the Republic signed a document with joint actions.

With the objective of implementing actions and projects aimed at the joint development of academic fields, the promotion of programs and academic extension, technical assistance and continuing education, the University of La Serena and the General Treasury of the Republic signed a important collaboration agreement, the first that TGR signs with a state university.

The agreement signed by the Rector of the ULS, Dr. Luperfina Rojas, and the General Treasurer, Hernán Nobizelli, will allow institutional relations to be strengthened; cooperation in the field of links with the environment, from the generation of activities that benefit the territories and their communities, the implementation of student internships; academic cooperation; citizen participation in various instances¸ training studies for Treasury officials, among others.

Rector Rojas appreciated that the ULS is the first state higher education institution to sign a cooperation agreement with the organization, “which validates the work we are doing from the regions. As the University of La Serena we have been working with the Treasury for some time now, and we have been able to learn a lot from them, through our students who do internships and learn about the work that their officials carry out in the field. This bidirectionality that we are developing allows us to generate this synergy that enriches both institutions, in this case, through internships for our students, and training and improvement for Treasury officials in different areas."

For his part, the General Treasurer, Hernán Nobizelli, stressed that “this agreement implies a mutual collaboration that will allow Treasury officials to have access to the educational process of the University, and the university will be able to have permanent coordination of students in practice. and some educational activities required by the service. We hope that it will be a collaboration that lasts over time and that the joint actions between both public institutions benefit the community.”

In recent years, the University, through the courses of the Faculty of Cs. Social, Business and Legal, it has developed various joint initiatives with the Regional Treasury, such as, for example, its participation in the advisory council of the FACSEJ, the development of the “Fiscal Support Center” project that is carried out with the Audit career. and which aims to advise micro and small entrepreneurs, carrying out student internships, workshops and other activities.
