The activity organized by OAME, within the framework of the 43 years of the University of La Serena, had six stands.

“Life is full of opportunities, for me luck does not exist. Discipline, hard work and habits are the concepts that will change your life. "You are talented young people, do not miss the opportunities," were the words given by the Rector of the University of La Serena, Dr. Luperfina Rojas Escobar, to the students who attended the fair "Tejiendo Redes de Accompañamiento ULS", held in the Isabel Bongard Campus.

In the activity there were six experiential stands divided by areas: Academic Preparation in Secondary Education (PEM), Academic Support in Higher Education (AES), School of Tutors, Psychoeducational (PEM), Psychoeducational (AES), Ad Portas ULS and Psychosocial, accompanied by professionals from the Student Welfare Department.

Vayron Ramos Díaz, PACE student of Pedagogy in Biology and Natural Sciences, commented that “I thought this fair was very good, the authorities gave us their greetings and also told us that studying at the university is not so terrible, and they emphasized that not everything is the study. Now I know that support, if needed, will be there to help us. The fair is very interesting, it is an interactive fair and it is not merely informative.”

The OAME Fair aimed to disseminate and socialize the model of organization of support that contributes and impacts the university community and in this way strengthen the link between the educational communities of the territory and the institution.

Also present at the event was the Institutional representative of the PACE program and ULS Academic Vice-Rector, Dr. Alejandra Torrejón Vergara, who emphasized: “we know that the transition to higher education can be a challenging process. That is why we are committed to offering them an inclusive and welcoming learning environment, where they feel valued and supported at all times. Our goal is that each of you can achieve academic and personal success, overcoming any obstacle that may arise along the way.”
