Through the initiative it was possible to train empowered 11, who developed the necessary skills to work and support their sons and daughters in educational tasks.

The Center for Educational Computing (CIE) of the University of La Serena, in its role of linking with the school environment, supported the Workshop "Technology and Community", developed at the Trinity School, through the facilitator Cristian Seura, teacher of the establishment .

Through the initiative it was possible to train empowered 11, whose level of computer use in their homes was basic. Through this workshop, they developed the necessary skills to work and mainly support their children in educational tasks.

The training is part of the Intel Aprender® Chile Project, which includes developing some of the skills such as technological literacy, critical thinking and collaboration through 2 curriculum: "Technology and Community" and "Technology at Work".

The objective of these workshops is the creation of projects that involve the wellbeing of the community and / or the creation of a working idea that can be carried out with the support of Microsoft Office tools.

The activities were coordinated by Eva Toro Morán, professional of Linking with the Environment of the Educational Computing Center of the ULS.
