Luis Rodríguez and Renzo Manterola from “Los Brazucas” and Jorge Cárdenas from “Gatos Guatones” are the main candidates for scorer of the tournament.

On Wednesday, October 15, the grand final of the Baby Soccer Championship “ULS Titled Cup” will be held at the Andrés Bello Campus of the University of La Serena, organized by the Graduate Monitoring Office of the house of higher education, which in Its first turn will decide the winner of the Silver Group and, in prime time, it will have the final confrontation between the best of the Gold Group, which brought together the highest-performing teams in the first phase.

Precisely, the main protagonists of the day will be “Los Brazucas” and “Los Canallas”, both winners of their respective groups in the first part of the tournament and who managed to maintain their good level until this stage. 

“Los Brazucas” are the main scorers of the Championship, accumulating no less than 58 goals in the two stages played. They reach the final with 7 points out of the 9 played in the Gold Group and with a difference of +9 (+22 if we add both group stages). It is not surprising then that its two great figures are among the main candidates to be the top scorer of the tournament: Luis Rodríguez Araya (Civil Engineering, 20 goals) and Renzo Manterola Norero (Architecture, 18 goals). In the fight for this scepter, Jorge Cárdenas Alfaro (Construction Engineering) joins them, with 18 goals scored by the “Gatos Guatones”.

Meanwhile, “Los Canallas” is the team with the least beaten hurdle and the second best performance of the 8 registered teams. They reach this final with 5 points and a difference of +3 (+7 in the tournament). On the second date of the Gold Group, they played an electrifying 3-XNUMX draw with “Los Brazucas”, so the final promises to be a scary match.

The day will begin at 19:30 p.m., with the dispute for first place in the Silver Group. There the faces “Computación FC” and “Ágora” will be seen. The big favorite is “Computación FC”, which achieved a notable rebound in this phase, winning all its matches, scoring 24 goals and conceding only 7 in its goal, after having had a performance to forget in Group 1.

The tournament will also define the third place in each group. On Monday, October 13, from 19:00 p.m., “Trapiche's Clan” and “Física FC” will face each other. Then, it will be the turn of Grupo Oro, with “Toby's Club” against “Gatos Guatones”.

Let us remember that, likewise, the least beaten hurdle will be awarded, a record that – as we mentioned – belongs until now to “Los Canallas”, the only team that has received less than 30 goals (26) in the entire tournament.
