Pedagogy in History and Geography and Ped. in English receive visits from peer evaluators

The activity is part of the accreditation process of both undergraduate programs at the University of La Serena.

From this Monday, November 10 to Wednesday, November 12, the visit of the Peer Evaluator Committees associated with the accreditation processes of the Pedagogy in History and Geography and Pedagogy in English courses at the University of La Serena, attached to the faculties of Social and Economic Sciences, and Humanities, respectively.

The Committee of Peer Evaluators for the Pedagogy in History and Geography career belongs to the AcreditAcción Agency and is made up of Graciela Rubio, U. of Valparaíso, and Andrea Minte, U. of Bío Bío. Meanwhile, the Committee of Peer Evaluators for the Pedagogy in English career, also from the AcreditAcción agency, is made up of Mauricio Veliz, U. Católica Silva Henríquez, Adriana Otto, U. Tecnológica de Chile (Inacap), and Claudio Díaz, U. of Concepción. The technical secretary of the Agency is Karla Montero. 

The visit program of the committees began with the meeting held with university authorities, headed by the Rector of the ULS, Dr. Nibaldo Avilés, and includes various meetings with directors, authorities of both faculties, directors of Schools and Departments, coordinators of careers, academics, internship coordinators, students, graduates, self-evaluation committees and employers. In addition, its members will visit facilities of the institution and the aforementioned undergraduate programs.

The reading of the Exit Reports for both races are scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, at 14:00 p.m., in the Pentagon Room, located on the Andrés Bello Campus.
