Link with the environment

Within the framework of linkage with the environment, with EXPLORA CONICYT, the institutional articulation seeks to promote learning in science in boys and girls in Early Childhood Education and strengthen the assessment by the educator of the development of scientific thinking skills and updating in the science technology axis.

In this context, a day of reflection was held that sought for the second consecutive year to promote critical reflection on pedagogical practices and update, this year, methodological and didactic approaches in the initiation of science and technology in Early Childhood Education, redefining the integration of learning according to social cultural contexts of reference. To this end, the workshops developed during the day took the educator to natural settings where they could experience learning in science and technology, as well as reflect on the perceptions and evaluations of the methodologies applied in their reference centers based on dialogues between student educators. This information collected in 2013 and 2014 will be systematized and will be made known in an article to be published during 2015, referring to the "Perceptions of preschool teachers regarding pedagogical practices in science and technology in the communes of La Serena and Coquimbo ".

The project coordinator, Rossana Godoy, was present at these sessions, held on October 29.
