The General Directorate of Student Affairs, through the professionals of the DGAE Saludable program, held the "Move for your Health" Workshop, at the four races of the Isabel Bongard Campus between October 23 and November 6. By law, students who in 2017 benefited from the FONDO SOLIDARIO DE CREDITO UNIVERSITARIO (FSCU) must participate. They must complete the benefit renewal form and submit documentation that supports the socioeconomic situation of their family group.

In the interregional championship, around 15 teams participated in children's, youth, novice and seasoned categories.

The judo team of the University of La Serena had an outstanding participation in the Valparaíso Open Championship, which took place in the Sports Center of the National Sports Institute of the city of Buenos Aires.
