The show included singing, dancing, batucadas, theater, and an exhibition of paintings, among others.

The Department of Extracurricular Activities, dependent on the General Directorate of Student Affairs of the University of La Serena, organized the artistic exhibition of the workshops that ended this first semester.

The show began with the theater students and continued with functional guitar, dance and singing. In the intermission the exhibition of painting in acrylic and xylography was carried out. Later it was the turn of the second song and dance group, ending with the rhythm of the batucadas and Streetdance.

dgae2Nearly a hundred people gathered at the Isabel Bongard Campus Amphitheater, where they were able to observe the work done throughout the semester by the students who developed and perfected their skills to be able to perform on stage.

Mauricio Castillo Vergara, Coordinator of the Department, commented that “the artistic exhibition has been taking place for several years. It began with the singing workshop, however, over time, other workshops have been added, which led to organizing the show so that all the workshops have their spaces and can present their work. This has made it more enjoyable for the public and they get a good impression of the show. This year we added acrylic painting and xylography workshops, which allowed us to hold a coffee break in between to share and take opinions from the students and attendees”.

It should be noted that the workshops seek the comprehensive development of the student, beyond professional academic development, incorporating so-called "soft" skills such as leadership, teamwork, creativity, professional development, among others. The offer for the second semester is already being prepared and the DGAE invites all students to access through the platform to register for all the workshops that will be held.
