The Department of Student Welfare of the DGAE, through its team of professionals, carried out a training day aimed at social workers from high schools and schools belonging to the DAEM of Coquimbo, where work was carried out based on access and application for benefits. MINEDUC students 2018.

The work was divided into presentations on the different student benefits, the way to apply through the FUAS and the Social Registry of Homes as a mechanism for verifying the background of the family group. The day ended with a group work of case analysis with all the participants.

The Coordinator of the Student Welfare Department, Patricia Astroza Morgan, pointed out that “it is important to continue positioning the University as a benchmark, not only in academic matters, but also in our case, in providing guidance in terms of access to MINEDUC student benefits. . We are the only state university in the region, therefore, we fulfill the role of accompanying and supporting the community of the region in the application process for student benefits, thinking that many of these students will be our students in 2018. ”.
