Outstanding participation of Tuna San Bartolomé in the II Meeting of Tunas de Concepción

The group belonging to the Department of Extracurricular Activities received an award in the Best Layer category.

Groups from Tunas de Copiapó to Puerto Montt met in Concepción to celebrate the second meeting of this type of musical brotherhood, all this as part of the 468 years of that commune and the 29th anniversary of the San Sebastián University, Concepción headquarters. The event brought together more than 150 young people who brought joy and filled the city with their rhythms.

prickly pear conce2La Tuna San Bartolomé represented the University of La Serena with the quality that characterizes it, winning first prize in the Best Layer category.

The student and member of the tuna, Wilson Soto, commented that “it was an enriching experience since this time most of the members who attended were the newest members of the group. On this occasion I had the pleasure, due to my seniority, of being in charge of the prickly pear. which represented a great challenge that we were able to achieve. Thanks to everyone's work, we maintained the tradition of more than 28 years representing our University with joy and enthusiasm."
