The test is free, fast and confidential.
This Wednesday, July 10, starting at 9: 00 hours, in the Ignacio Domeyko Campus Hall, continues the “Get the HIV Rapid Detection Test” campaign aimed at students of the University of La Serena.
This initiative is part of the agreement signed the year 2018 between the ULS, the Student Federation and the Seremi de Salud for the promotion of safe sex, prevention and control of HIV / AIDS and STIs in the university community.
It is for this reason that the ULS, through its Department of Student Health, together with different CESFAM of the communes of La Serena, Coquimbo and Ovalle, performs operations in the different campuses of the University. An example of these operations is the one that took place last July 4 in the Limarí Campus (Ovalle), which ended successfully.
In charge of this Wednesday's operation will be the CESFAM Pedro Aguirre Cerda, who will have the support of professionals from the Department of Student Health in taking the test.
What is the rapid detection test?
The rapid screening test is a test that detects HIV through a finger prick, delivering results in just 30 minutes. The test result information is given to the student in a confidential manner.
It should be remembered that 80 service numbers will be delivered in order of arrival and only an identity card must be presented to reserve attention.
The campaign will continue in the different campuses during the year. The dates of the operations will be informed to the university community through the various communication platforms of the University.
