The event was part of the second ordinary plenary session of the Council of Agronomy Students of Chile, CEACH.

The Limarí Campus of the University of La Serena was the place chosen by the Student Centers of the CRUCH Agronomy majors, for the second ordinary plenary session of the Council of Agronomy Students of Chile, CEACH.

It should be noted that the CEACH had stopped functioning in 2004 and in 2008 there was a failed attempt to resume it. This was the second meeting, the first was held at the University of Concepción in the month of June.

The purpose of CEACH is to be a voice that unites the country's Agronomy students, strengthening knowledge through seminars and conferences, as well as camaraderie in sports Olympics, among other activities.

The president of the CEC of Agronomic Engineering of the ULS, Emilio Plaza, emphasized the importance of these instances of dialogue between students of the same career. “As president of the Agronomy Student Center, I consider that this type of activities allows us as students and as a University to actively participate within the national reality,” he commented.

Finally, Plaza valued the efforts of the other CECs who came to Ovalle for the plenary session. “Student centers from all over Chile have made an enormous effort to come to our Campus, since the geographical distances are considerable. But they show that the commitment to the future of Agronomy in Chile is concrete,” he stated.
