Around 4 thousand students are expected to complete the benefits renewal process.

The Mineduc benefit renewal process for 2015 (FSCU and Scholarships) is the one with the largest call during the year. It is expected that around 4 thousand students will come to complete the procedure.

This process is aimed mainly at students who during 2014 were beneficiaries of tuition or FSCU scholarships from the Mineduc (new and old students) or who had suspended or postponed their studies partially or totally during the current year and that are renewals of the benefit.

In this sense, the coordinator of the Student Welfare Department of the ULS, dependent on the DGAE, Patricia Astroza Morgan, expressed the importance of students completing the process early to prevent the system from collapsing due to the number of students who They will carry out the procedure. “This is one of the most massive processes of socioeconomic accreditation of our students at the University, therefore, we require that they use the systems that we have created, the technologies that we have incorporated into the process and therefore that they do so within the deadlines and hopefully within the first few days so that in this way they do not clog the systems at the end of the process,” he specified.

Astroza also emphasized that the DGAE put all the documentation on its web platform to make the process less complex. "Completing the form is done from the same Phoenix platform, an online form is made that is only printed and delivered to the respective social worker of the Campus and the forms that can be requested are now available on the website of our General Directorate of Student Affairs and on the student platform,” explained the professional.

The deadlines for submitting the Mineduc 2015 Benefit Renewal form and socioeconomic background are from October 06 to November 07 in the offices of the social workers of each Campus. It should be noted that the form is available on the students' Phoenix platform, which must be completed online and then downloaded and submitted along with the required documentation.
