Different alternatives to encourage a healthy life will be presented at the Expo Cuerpo Sano

Talks, workshops, a fair and live music will inform visitors about the various alternatives in healthy products and activities. 

Next Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17, the first version of the Healthy Body Expo in the north of the country will be presented at the Extension Center of the University of La Serena, an activity that will allow attendees to learn about natural products and related services. with healthy living and with alternatives to improve the quality of life. The activity includes free workshops and talks that will offer the possibility of learning, in practice, what these alternatives are. There will be exhibitors who will be informing about a more natural way of living and the different products belonging to an ecological, ethical and sustainable trade network, where in addition to seeing, people will be able to buy some of the products exhibited. 

Among the activities will be the talk ''Encounter with Bach Flowers'', fair of healthy products, yoga class, Tai gymnastics class, workshop ''Tibetan bowls of 7 metals'', talk ''Introduction to Chinese medicine'' and workshop ''Natural and conscious parenting''. In addition, live music "Bossa Nova" will be presented on Friday the 16th and alumni musicians from the University of La Serena on Saturday the 17th. 

healthy life 2All activities are free entry, in order to show alternatives for body work and natural products that could become an informative family panorama. ''Throughout the day we will have different activities that are talks, workshops and open classes and, in addition, you will have the possibility of meeting and exploring the activity with the different exhibitors. Admission is free, the possibility of taking classes is also free. So it is a tremendous invitation for people to have the possibility of learning about this activity. Exhibitors from La Serena will participate, in addition to guests from Santiago. People will be able to find out what's in the city, how to improve their health and how to eat better," said Ignacio Saavedra, co-organizer of the activity through the "Vitalízate" cooperative. 

This activity is organized jointly by the Extension Directorate of the University of La Serena and Vitalízate, a distributor of natural products, belonging to an ethical and ecological trade network called Impacto Cero. 

It should be noted that this is the first time that this exhibition is presented in La Serena, since it has previously been held in the south of the country and in Santiago.

Some activities

Tai Gymnastics: comes from Tai Chi and will be performed by Ignacio Saavedra, 2d° Dan Black Belt in Tai Chi. ''I have taken different elements to create a very healthy gymnastics that teaches people a very simple way to know a healthier way to occupy the body. Being able to recognize the tensions that the body has and in this way reduce them to know a greater state of well-being. This is through a series of movements and exercises that are very slow and gentle (...) allowing us to understand where the pressure is, where the tension is and how to release it in a natural way, that does not require greater effort,'' stated Saavedra. . 

Workshop ''Tibetan Bowls of 7 Metals'': guided by Mercedes Salas, Bioresonance therapist with Tibetan Bowls. The activity will be a practical demonstration of the healing power through Tibetan bowls. Attendees will be able to experience the effect they produce on their body, learn directly about harmonization, the so-called sonic massage, bioresonance and its effects on the chakras and the spine. 

Workshop ''Natural and Conscious Parenting'': will be told by teachers Georgette Sir and Nicolás Crisóstomo, both of whom are dedicated to accompaniment in Childcare. This workshop will show an introduction to sustainable, non-consumerist, affective and respectful parenting. Topics to be discussed: conscious pregnancy and natural childbirth; breastfeeding on demand; upbringing and carrying; co-sleeping; eco-friendly diapers and disposal communication; autonomous psychomotor development; and complementary feeding, guided by the baby.
