This ULS initiative is the third of its kind in terms of preventive quarantine - preceded by #QuedateEnCasa #VuelveALeer and #QuedateEnCasa # DiscoverLaMúsica- and seeks to bring the community closer to cultural expressions.

Cinema, culture and national theater is what the University of La Serena will offer through a new communication campaign called #QuedateEnCasa #DesdeTuButaca, whose purpose is to accompany the community in these times of preventive quarantine COVID-19, offering access to one hour daily of culture, recommending free access to cultural assets.

Starting today and for 2 weeks, the institution will recommend, via emails and social networks, films and plays, with the conviction that the quality of life of people improves when they integrate their habits of information consumption, the enjoyment of the world of culture and the arts.

The programming of recommendations includes content for children and adults, and is organized into 3 blocks: plays from the archive of the National Theater (Escenix); plays by Teatro a Mil and, finally, films by the Cineteca Nacional.

These 10 recommendations will guide the community in consuming the best of the performing arts and national filmography, from the Web and without leaving home.

Regarding this initiative, the person in charge of Culture of the Direction of Linkage with the Medium and Extension (DIVEULS), Fernando Tapia, announced and pointed out that "#QuedateEnCasa #DesdeTuButaca invites the community to enjoy national cinema and theater to complement well-being of people (…). This campaign comes to relax our life, because art and culture deliver that, even managing to delve into human emotions and expressions ”.
