Tickets to attend this musical event are free, but with limited spaces.

On June 19, at the Extension Center of the University of La Serena, the Chamber Concert will be held that will include two works by the great German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, one of them on piano and the second known as '' Spring Sonata'' for violin and piano. These musical pieces will be performed by Sergio Carvajal (piano) and Rodrigo Barraza (violin), both colleagues and instrument teachers at the Copiapó Lyceum of Music.

Through this concert, Carvajal and Barraza wish to make the work of this outstanding German conductor and pianist known to the public. ''We worked with this composer to understand and demonstrate the compositional work that these two works have in the same tonality and that they stand out in musical aspects, both in the chamber work and in the violin and piano. It is a very interesting sonata from a technical point of view,'' said pianist Sergio Carvajal.

This is a musical project that was prepared a year ago and presented only in Copiapó and will be presented for the first time in La Serena. ''We have been working on this duo since last year, putting together material and working on different pieces (...). For us it is important to present the work we are doing, we are interested in sharing with different audiences,'' said Carvajal, who does not rule out holding concerts in other parts of Chile.

It should be noted that this chamber duo will be presented within the framework of the 2014 Concert Series, organized by the Extension Directorate of the University of La Serena.
