Master of Biological Sciences mention Ecology of Arid Zones

Objectives:

The objective of the program is to provide the student with the appropriate levels of deepening in the study of the ecosystems of arid zones in order that he / she can perform with a high level of efficiency and creativity in their professional activity.


Curriculum:

  • General Training Courses: Arid Ecosystems, Experimental Design and Sampling in Biology, Formulation and Evaluation of Projects, Quantitative Ecology.
  • Support Courses for Thesis Work: Plant Ecophysiology, Plant Genetics, Vegetal Ecology, Animal Ecology, Plant Biochemistry, Soil Microbiology, Animal Ecophysiology, Seminars, Tutorial Courses.
  • Thesis Work: The students of the Program will take all the General Training courses and according to their interests, they will have to take some of the Thesis Work Support Courses that will be established at the beginning of the Program. The student must take and pass a public defense examination of the thesis to obtain his degree.

Duration: The program will have a normal duration of four (4) semesters, with a maximum duration of six (6) semesters.
