Therefore, we will have a primary role within pedagogical careers in what it means to conduct the training process as a central axis and instance of quality towards the professional future of education. This requires reflection and collaborative work where we can agree on what is necessary in terms of personal and professional skills in practical training. The diploma does not attempt to give a lesson on practices, but instead aims to reflect internally on the experience that each person has in this matter in order to have a job that leads to a practical training model within the University of La Serena," stated the director. .

Subsequently, the director of the diploma course, Dr. Sandra Álvarez, explained to those present the main characteristics of the program, highlighting the objectives, contents and modalities. “It was necessary to have this instance of disciplinary and pedagogical updating around our work as supervisors and practice coordinators. Today we are obviously gathered due to a need to update, but also because we are living in a different institutional and national context that has allowed us to have instances like these, which the Institutional Improvement Plan for ULS Pedagogies has properly assumed. This scenario gives us new opportunities to improve our skills as teachers and to reinforce those areas that the school system demands of us in terms of supporting our interns,” said the director.

The other two modules will be focused on resources for the supervision and coordination of practices, and on strategies for supporting practices in the work context, in which prominent academic rapporteurs from the national and regional levels, specialists in the subject, will participate. Classes will be held every Friday in person and autonomously, ending their classes during the month of January of next year.
