La Academic Vice-Chancellorship It is the body in charge of the higher administration and support of all academic activities carried out at the University, in particular, in relation to its planning, coordination, control and evaluation.

This Vice-Rector's Office is also responsible for the administration of the tasks and services inherent to academic functions.

Objectives

  • Coordinate, supervise and contribute to evaluating the implementation of the Educational Model.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Strategic Institutional Transition Development Plan 2021-2023, as well as the Institutional Strengthening Projects, coordinating and supervising the contribution of the four Faculties of the University, the two Directorates dependent on the Academic Vice-Rector's Office, the Integrated Management Unit of Pedagogies –UGIP, the Office of Student Support and Monitoring - OAME and the General Area of ​​Coordination of Rights and Duties for Comprehensive Training - AGDDFI.
  • Lead, support and coordinate the process leading to Institutional Accreditation, as well as the self-evaluation of the careers, which they are responsible for carrying out said process.
  • Lead and conduct weekly management and analysis meetings with the vice-chancellors, the Vice-chancellor's Office for Economic and Administrative Affairs and the Vice-chancellor's Office for Research and Postgraduate Studies of the ULS.
  • Make and lead different Commissions to analyze and resolve academic situations.

Teaching Directorate

The Teaching Directorate is the unit dependent on the Academic Vice-Rector's Office responsible for coordinating the activities of undergraduate teaching in pursuit of the harmonization of the objectives, policies, strategies and goals of the University.

The Academic Vice-Rector's Office is also in charge of supervising the Programs that have already been institutionalized and other Projects from the Ministry of Education to be developed, such as:

Integrated Management Unit of Pedagogies (UGIP)

This unit is focused on improving the teacher training programs taught by the university, which has been achieved through the redesign of the curriculum of the eleven ULS Pedagogies; with the increase in the quantity and quality of entry into Pedagogy careers; and strengthening the academic body that intervenes in the training programs of the careers.
