For two years we have been working together with “La Brújula” Cowork, where students in their final year of law school guide entrepreneurs and advise in different areas.

In the Auditorium of the Law program, belonging to the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of the University of La Serena, the closing keynote talk of the Legal Clinic subject was held, called: “Basic obligations of a taxpayer” , by the teacher and Director of the Department of Economics and Business Sciences, Mg. Alberto Hernandez.

In the talk, organized by the Law major, the teacher gave a complete presentation of the different aspects that an entrepreneur must take into account when forming a company, as well as maintaining up-to-date obligations for the proper development of the organization. .

legal clinic2Entrepreneurs assigned to “La Brújula” Cowork were present at the meeting, who received advice throughout 2018 from the final year students of the Law degree and their tutors. The Director of the Law degree, Mg., also participated. Germán Solís, and the teacher, Mg. Elizabeth Escobar, in charge of the Legal Clinic chair, who throughout the academic year has accompanied the students in this work of linking with the environment.

It should be noted that through this type of advice, the students maintained direct contact with those who required real help, and thus put into practice everything they learned during their years of study.

The management with “La Brújula” Cowork was carried out through the Management of the degree, achieving an associative work agreement, maintaining rules and establishing deadlines that both parties have respected, thus allowing a good development of the interventions that the students have carried out. with your real clients.

For the Director of the degree, this type of work is of special relevance, since it allows his students to connect with the world of real work, in addition to having a clear visualization of what is done in the work field. Likewise, he highlighted the relationship they have with “La Brújula”, classifying it as “an agreement that has borne excellent results, where they are very satisfied with the work of our students and with the Clinical professor. Cowork has provided us with these entrepreneurs, so that our students can put their knowledge into practice.”

The subject of Legal Clinic is within the study program of the Law degree, and for the year 2019 it will continue to be developed with advice to the entrepreneurs of La Brújula” Cowork, also strengthening the connection with the environment and the purpose of establishing networks support and contact with the community.
