ULS educates more than 300 students and teachers from high schools and colleges about the solar eclipse

More than 300 students and teachers from various educational establishments in La Serena have been able to learn about the total solar eclipse on July 2, thanks to the talks that the University of La Serena has held as a scientific-educational partner of this important astronomical phenomenon.

eclipse2 talk"Everything you need to know for the 2019 solar eclipse" is the name of this cycle of presentations, which on this occasion was moved to the Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez Technical High School, belonging to the Gabriel González Videla Municipal Corporation, where 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students They learned about relevant aspects about this event of global interest.

They were joined by 3rd and 5th grade students from the Arturo Prat Chacón School, who also received students from the Doctorate, Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Astronomy ULS, who shared their knowledge with the enthusiastic students.

The talk was also held at the Marta Brunet Technical High School, with the presence of high school students, teachers and the astronomy academy, who learned details about the phenomenon that we are going to witness in July of this year.

The series of talks will continue to be held in other schools and high schools in the Coquimbo Region.
