PACE 03

Strategies

The program works through two strategies: Preparation in Secondary Education and Accompaniment in Higher Education.

Preparation for Secondary Education (PEM)

The Program focuses its work on the development of cross-cutting skills, in alignment with the 3º and 4º medium curriculum, promoting a comprehensive management of it through the formation of cognitive, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, from an integral accompaniment approach. Likewise, it seeks to leave learnings and capacities installed in the respective establishments, that allow to assure the development of the formative trajectories of the students, by means of the accompaniment from a consultancy approach.

In order to develop the present component, the Higher Education Institution teams in agreement will develop actions directly with all the students of the respective course and, if considered necessary or pertinent, will also do it with the technical teams of the lyceums, teachers and counselors for the implementation of the school curriculum.

The required actions must be translated into various activities designed by the respective Institution of Higher Education, focused on the students of the 3ª and 4ª year of Secondary Education courses of each Educational Establishment (EE).

Qualification Requirements

  • Successfully approve the pace preparation stage.
  • Have completed 3º and 4º year average of an educational establishment pace.
  • Have graduated within the 15% of the best ranking score of your establishment, or obtain a score ranking of grades equal to or higher than 696 points nationwide.
  • To pass the university selection test (PSU), both obligatory, plus an elective one.

It has 3 essential components:

Accompaniment in Higher Education (AES)

This component aims at the academic achievement of the young people of the PACE program admitted to higher education. For this, devices must be implemented for the monitoring and follow-up of PACE students admitted to any of the Institutions participating in the Program, with a focus on the development of autonomy for the achievement of academic results and retention in higher education.

The actions must be directed to the first year students of higher education, admitted from the PACE Program by guaranteed quota or by regular admission.

Induction
